As a part of a project with the EMPA - Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science, three Universities of Applied Sciences and orthopedic technicians, we have developed over the last years of cooperation mego, a new seat shell / back part for wheelchairs. With its innovative design it reduce a number of health problems and offer handicapped people in wheelchairs new fields of movement in daily life. The first mego seat shell / back part as production-oriented prototype was successfully presented at the trade fair Swiss Handicap 2014. A conducted pilot clinical study shows some advantages in wheelchair seating with mego. - By the way, mego means "I (me) move (go) me".
